‘A Journal About Everyday Stuff and Common People. Oh, and We Also Like To Surf.’ Generics is a lifestyle magazine that explores topics like surfing, skating, music, art and a bunch of other possibly interesting (or not so much) stuff. This is the Nothing Issue, it got this name from the main article on it, where I interviewed my friend Zé Raimundo, surfboard shaper and owner of Nothing Surfcrafts. This magazine was designed as an academic editorial project. Image courtesy of: Manel Geada, Stab Magazine & Sébastien Zanella.

Brand identity designed for the 2020 edition of Indie Lisboa as part of an academic project. Indie Lisboa is an alternative film festival happening annualy in the Portuguese capital. Each year their visual communication strategy changes, keeping only their logo constant. This project aimed to create a fresh visual identity for the 2020 edition, starting from the creation of a new logo. This new identity was strongly focused on the close relationship of the festival with its host city Lisbon, which translated into the use of the crow, an iconic symbol of the city, and other famous landmarks.

A personal project I did for my mom's veterinary clinic, as a better and more sustainable solution for the customers to take home their pets' food and medicine rather than the traditional plastic bags.

Posters designed for Belém, an historical portuguese neighbourhood, strongly influenced by the portuguese discoveries. This academic project was inspired by the work of portuguese artist Vasco Araújo, where he reflected about the european vision of colonialism and how that translates into today's society. His work is focused on the statues representing african indegenous people that are still present today in Belém's Botanical Garden, alongside monkeys and other african animal species. I used these same statues on the posters.
